Pillar Seals & Gaskets Achieves 50 Year Milestone, Announces Facility Relocation and Expansion

Pillar Seals & Gaskets (“PSG”) were pleased to announce the completion of a major business expansion and facility relocation. We are also celebrating another achievement of a significant milestone; fifty years in the business of industrial sealing solutions and international supply chain management.

As a subsidiary of specialist international aerospace group, Shimtech Industries Ltd., we have spent the last half century growing from a small local business supplying high performance gaskets and seals, to an award-winning global supply chain management business, with a strong international background. PSG now serves large blue-chip customers all around the world.
PSG traditionally started as a manufacturer of flexible sealing products, but has since expanded as an out-sourced provider of a range of gaskets, plastic and rubber mouldings, shims, and silicone rubbers, as well as a broad range of other components, frequently supplied in fully kitted form. Today, we manage over 14,000 individual components, including many critical products, for a variety of customers from varied sectors.
As demand for the services we provide has been recently growing, we have also marked our half centennial by transferring to a new, larger facility, allowing us to double capacity, which will help support the continuing growth in customer demand.
PSG Managing Director, John Nighy, had this to say on the relocation and expansion:

“In particular, we are now integrating components into much larger, higher value sub-assemblies for shipment to our customers.  These can be delivered direct to production lines, which helps simplify our customers’ supply chains, leading to lower costs, reduced investment and improved operational efficiency.”
